copyright violation
i do not believe that shepard fairey violated copyright law in this case. i think this because he manipulated the image enough to where the work has become his own.
materializing new space
What i seen in the exhibition was a lot of greys, birds, bricks. obviously those were the themes. it seemed to be made a lot out of photoshop and capturing images with a camera. i think there was a little bit of drawing within in birds as well. i liked the way the birds were all near each other. and then some pieces of art had an entire wall to themselves. i like this cause it pulls away from clutter. there were instructions on building something behind the birds. and as the construction began to grow harder the birds seemed to become more serious or dangerous.

Project 1: Neptunes Nebular Voyage
I created the smoke by simply using the brush tool and liquified it multiple times till i got the result i liked. I downloaded brushes for the stars. I tried equalizing the color values of the shield, pipe, and statue as best as i could.
To me this piece shows my interest in many things such as comics, pipes, space and nebulas, and the occupy movement. All but the occupy movement are clearly visible.

Christiane Paul Digital Art Chapter 1
i like charles cohens work cause it forces you to look on the outside of what is supposed to be viewed.
